How a seamless carousel works
A seamless carousel is one wide picture cut into equal slides. Posted in order, each slide picks up where the last one stopped, so the picture slides past as people swipe. The splitter crops your image to exactly the width the slides need, then cuts it into panels of the same size.
How to make one
- Choose a wide image: a panorama, a banner, or a design made for it.
- Pick how many slides you want and their shape. 4:5 takes up the most room on screen.
- Download the slides and add them to one post in order, 1 first.
Tips
- Put something that crosses the cut on slide 1. It tells people there's more to swipe.
- Keep text and faces away from the cuts, where the gap between slides would split them.
- Three to five slides is usually enough. Past that, fewer people reach the end.
