Post options
Replies and threads, topics, polls, link previews, reply controls and more.
Set in options when creating or updating a post, and leave out what you don't use. The rules match the composer: drafts may hold combinations that don't work together yet, but scheduling or publishing checks them.
"options": {
"topic": "buildinpublic",
"replyControl": "followers_only",
"poll": ["Tabs", "Spaces"]
}Options
topicstringOne topic, without #. Up to 50 characters, no periods or ampersands.
replyTostringPublish as a reply. Either the Threads media id of any post (a published post's
threadsId), or the id of another 1Threads post of the same account: that post publishes first and this one follows once it's live, so a whole thread can be scheduled. Scheduling needs that post to be scheduled or published, and publishing now needs it published. See Recipes.replyControlstringdefault: everyoneWho can reply:
everyone, accounts_you_follow, followers_only, mentioned_only or parent_post_author_only.replyApprovalsbooleanReplies wait for your approval before others see them.

pollstring[]2–4 options of up to 25 characters. Text-only posts.
longTextstringA text attachment of up to 10,000 characters, with
**bold**, *italic*, __underline__, ~~strikethrough~~ and ==highlight==. Text-only posts, not with a poll.spoilerMediabooleanBlur the attached media until tapped. Needs media.
ghostbooleanArchived 24 hours after posting. Text-only, without the other options.
Replies and threads
With replyTo a post publishes as a reply. Point it at another queued post to build a thread: each reply waits until the post above it is live, even if its own time comes first, and then replies to it on Threads. Once a reply is claimed for publishing, replyTo holds the Threads id it went out under. If the post above fails or is deleted, the reply fails too; retry it after publishing that post.
