Errors

Failed requests answer with a status code and a JSON error object.

Branch on code; message is written for people and may change. Validation errors also list every problem in issues.

Error codes

Status	Code	Meaning
400	`invalid_request`	A field is missing or invalid; issues lists each problem.
400	`invalid_json`	The body isn't valid JSON.
400	`account_required`	An old key without an account was used while several accounts are connected, and the request didn't name one.
400	`media_not_found`	A media id doesn't belong to an uploaded file.
401	`unauthorized`	The API key is missing, wrong or revoked.
403	`forbidden`	A read-only key tried to change something.
403	`account_forbidden`	The request named another account than the key's.
404	`not_found`	No such post, file or endpoint, or the post belongs to another account.
404	`account_not_found`	No connected account has that id or username.
405	`method_not_allowed`	The endpoint exists but not with this method.
409	`conflict`	The post or file can't change in its current state.
409	`account_not_connected`	The key's account isn't connected, or Threads rejected its token.
415	`unsupported_media_type`	Upload media got neither multipart nor JSON.
422	`publish_failed`	Threads rejected the post while publishing.
429	`rate_limited`	Threads is limiting this account. Wait a few minutes.
502	`threads_error`	Threads returned an error.
500	`internal_error`	Something broke in 1Threads. Check the Worker logs.
